Delta Force: Land Warrior from NovaLogicin is an interactive computer game in which the player takes on the role of a Delta Force special forces soldier, similar to Delta Force 2 for gamers alike. All involved with Delta Force now participate in all three installments.
DFLW stands apart from previous Delta Force games by featuring realistic recoil. When playing single player mode with five member units, each member possesses distinct strengths and weaknesses; another new feature was freedom in choosing characters/weapons of choice (for instance sniper rifles could be used by medics while mortars by tarkk’ampujas).
Delta Force: Land Warrior features 30 missions set across Africa, Indonesia, Egypt and western South America. Goals range from eliminating high-risk targets like power plants to freeing VIP hostages being held hostage. Before being sent out on their mission, players are briefed and have the task of collecting equipment and gear they will require in advance for that specific mission.
They then have an opportunity to plan out their strategy – for instance using silenced weapons for stealthy entry or heavy ones for aggressive assault – before entering through one of various media such as helicopter or parachute drop.
Once on the ground, navigating is made simpler through use of minimap waypoints which point towards their goals (some missions allow squad command via issuing orders to teammates while others pit you directly against enemy opponents – plus there’s also an included map editor that allows users to modify existing maps or create entirely new maps as desired!
