Kakarot is an action role-playing game with fighting game elements. Players can battle opponents while engaging in activities such as fishing, collecting Z orbs, eating, driving a hover car and training their characters to equip soul emblems.
The plot follows along the progression of an anime series as players explore and complete side quests as multiple playable characters from across multiple universes in different universes; four storylines exist within Kakarot that you must complete: Saiyan Saga; Frieza Saga; Cell Saga where one gains access to their hover car and Buu Saga
Bonus storylines may be purchased as downloadable content; such as retells of Dragon Ball Super’s Battle of Gods and Resurrection “F” tales. In June 11 2021, DLC featuring Future Trunks confronting Babidi to prevent Majin Buu from awakening (an event briefly covered both by Super Anime and Manga) was also made available as DLC original story.
