PlayStation fans agree: The Order 1886 is among the most underrated titles ever produced.
There are so many underappreciated gems out there who just don’t get noticed as quickly or don’t seize their opportunities to shine immediately.
Take Days Gone as an example; its release was met with mixed to positive reviews, matching Ghost of Tsushima in sales figures. Unfortunately though, Days Gone’s prospects quickly diminished upon its PlayStation debut – possibly as The Last of Us’ shadow began to obscure it – yet in recent months has experienced a major renaissance as more players discover it through PlayStation Plus, giving way to fresh perspectives instead of its initial reviews from days past. A similar occurrence is occurring for The Order 1886 as after years without much attention it is now being acknowledged by many gamers as one of most underrated titles ever produced!
Ready At Dawn developed The Order 1886 as a third-person action adventure game released back in 2015. Set against an atmospheric Steampunk London backdrop, The Order 1886 follows Knights of the Round Table’s efforts to defend government from supernatural threats like vampires and werewolves. Although short, The Order 1886 quickly faded from public awareness despite still providing plenty of fun playback – it makes an excellent way to pass an afternoon or spend your weekend.
Reddit user OU812fr kicked off the conversation writing: “This game’s visuals still look fantastic even years after its initial release; everyone at Ready at Dawn deserves much kudos for creating such an outstanding cinematic, filmic aesthetic – from film grain and depth of field effects, lens scratches and soft focus effects – this has never been duplicated and looks simply incredible!”
Users were highly complimentary about Tigertron1990: “One of the greatest underrated games ever created; my only wish is for it to last longer,” while PGPNWD offered: “This looks better than any PS5 game!” Coin-Drop noted how much she loved this title but regretted its non-proliferation due to never receiving its planned sequel – there would’ve been so much potential improvements without one being made possible! Coin-Drop noted: “Freaking loved this game. Pity we didn’t see another one!” Coin-Drop noted “My freaking loved this game; wish had got its sequel like originally intended sadly never came; though improvements would’ve added something truly magnificent!” Coin Ddrop noted her love affair:
