Rockstar Games has experienced an odd transition period over the past several months; we have heard nothing official from them since then; yet, speculation surrounding them seems rampant now.
As many have heard, a Red Dead Redemption remake is in development for years now and recently saw new ratings appear online to renew hope – and now insiders claim an announcement could happen as early as August at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live? That would certainly be exciting to think. Not to be outdone, Take-Two Interactive also seems to be hinting towards GTA IV remake rumors; although we know for certain GTA VI will release so this information should be treated with caution; nonetheless there’s certainly increasing anticipation! Meanwhile fans have debated whom their favorite protagonist will be, with Tommy Vercetti coming out victorious among many fans!
Over on Reddit, an ongoing thread called ‘Who Is Your Favourite Rockstar Games Protagonist and Why?’ received many responses; one standout being Tommy Vercetti of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (User Robu-san wrote), who remains his choice ever since Vice City was released and heavily inspired Scarface movies: the voice from Goodfellas playing out a story heavily inspired by Scarface made the character irresistibly fascinating to players like Robu-san: so my favourite protagonist comes straight out of my favorite GTA game: Vice City!”
