What would be the primary factor driving someone to delete a game before completion? Perhaps too buggy for their taste or not running as smoothly are valid points; both valid reasons that cannot be debated with.

PlayStation Plus subscribers on Reddit have voiced an unusual grievance regarding one of the free games offered to Extra and Premium tier subscribers – Watch Dogs: Legion from Ubisoft was added as part of Sony’s subscription service back in May for extra and premium tier subscribers to experience for themselves for free; unfortunately its cringey dialogue has proven an obstacle, prompting some to delete it within hours!

Reddit user me_simon described their frustration in playing through this title due to its dialogue and voice acting as being so poor it made the game unplayable for her, returning twice with hopes of blocking out dialogue but failing each time, according to Reddit post on r/PlayStationPlus subreddit. “I enjoyed Watch Dogs but found its tone too serious; however, Watch Dogs 2 was much brighter and not nearly so serious in nature.

Although Legion seems like they hired my 70-year-old, talkback radio-listening father to write its script with specific instruction to’make them sound like edgy youth’; I found voice acting to be really subpar […] Thought about hacking around London was tempting but thought otherwise when spending hours and hours immersed with these characters was too great an ask […] […]

Others were in agreement: CypherRen noted “the dialogue was too over the top British with cringe-worthy slang words which most Brits don’t actually use that much”, adding: “only managed five hours of play before giving up and deleting as not only is voice acting absolutely atrocious but so is gameplay itself which feels disconnected and dull in comparison with previous two games,” SkiingisFreeing concluded.

If Watch Dogs: Legion isn’t for you, there’s currently 453 games to enjoy through Extra and Premium-tier PS Plus game catalogues – take a look here for full list.
