San Diego Comic-Con was full of incredible announcements. The surprise PlayStation port of High on Life was confirmed. It was also revealed that a comic book series titled Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong will be released in October. Can Batman beat Godzilla in a fight? Let’s wait and watch.

IDW Publishing, as reported by IGN has revealed the first details of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : The Last Ronin II Re-Evolution. Kevin Eastman, Tom Waltz and Isaac Escorza are all back, along with Esau Escorza, Ben Bishop and Isaac Escorza.

In the sequel, the series will follow Yi, Uno and Odyn – the turtles introduced in The Last Ronin who are now ready to face the world with their sensei Casey Marie Jones.

Eastman said to IGN that “Every beginning has an ending” was the real reason for her decision. With all due respect to my co-creator Peter Laird I wanted to complete what we began in 1984 and set about to accomplish in 1987. We achieved this 33 years after we started with The Last Ronin and my friend Tom Waltz, along with an amazing group of talented artisans. “A very fitting ending indeed.”

Eastman said that his team was working on a “whole new universe” with a lot of new characters.

Charles Beacham, TMNT’s senior editor, told IGN that Kevin, Tom and the other members of the team had created something incredible for the next chapter in The Last Ronin. There are more Turtles. There are some new and exciting enemies but there is also a great deal of heart. This book was a labor of love by ALL the authors and that shows.

Don’t miss the first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution on December 13, 2023.
