EA CEO Andrew Wilson expressed interest in more Cal Kestis-themed Star Wars games, suggesting an additional Jedi title is in development.

After the success of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, fans naturally anticipate another game to complete the trilogy. Although its ending leaves open opportunities for future adventures with Cal Kestis and his friends in space, where exactly that journey may lead remains to be determined.

EA appears to be considering various scenarios involving Cal Kestis as its CEO has expressed enthusiasm about seeing him featured in additional projects.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson discussed its ups and downs during a first quarter earnings call, including its recent success with Star Wars brand.

Wilson explained: “Our teams are continually exploring what experiences can we create to enrich the players’ experience, so I would love to see more Jedi franchise games over time – they tell such great tales!”

He continued by saying: “Our opinion might be slightly biased here, but our sense is based on feedback we’ve been receiving from our community and product quality that it stands out as one of the key Star Wars events of 2013 and will likely become part of its fabric for many years to come.”

It will be exciting to witness how Star Wars Jedi compares with its successor series, Star Wars Outlaws, which shifts away from conflict between Jedi and The Empire and toward an exploration of galactic criminal underworld. Outlaws is being developed by Ubisoft and promises an open world experience similar to that found in Assassin’s Creed games in terms of size and scale.

Jedi: Survivor will soon make its debut on Xbox One and PS4. Currently under development are these ports so Jedi can leverage all current-gen hardware capabilities fully.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently available to purchase on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.
