Chapter 6, the final mission in The Witness game, has become legendary for moving even the toughest gamers to tears as it marks Arthur Morgan’s journey in this title. While initially resistant, players eventually warmed up to Arthur quickly and consider him one of the great protagonists ever created in gaming history.
John Marston and his horse share one last momentous farewell which still resonates in players’ memories even decades after its initial release of the game. That scene, known as John’s farewell to both, remains as an unforgettable “masterpiece”.
Fans of Rockstar Games Western quickly took to comment section sharing their memories of experiencing it for the first time, often recalling how emotionally wrenching the scene had been for them.

Rockstar has yet to issue an announcement regarding whether Red Dead Redemption 3 will ever materialise; and, given how long Grand Theft Auto VI took to develop, we may still have years before reaching another sequel/prequel game in development.
If a third game is created though, we could very likely see Arthur returning as part of another prequel series.
