Another year means another Call of Duty is in our presence.

Call of Duty has been released almost every year since 2003. That’s an awful lot of Call of Duty, and that doesn’t include the spin-off games. Between 2003 and 2005, Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty 2, respectively, were released.

In 2019, we were treated to Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. This is a remake of the 2011 title and concludes the rebooted series that started in 2019. Modern Warfare III brings a high-octane campaign for single players, as well as a solid multiplayer mode. Open-World Zombies is also included.

Before its official unveiling, speculation was rife that Modern Warfare III started out as an extension of Modern Warfare II (2022) before becoming its own stand-alone game. This might be a turn-off for some but we can’t tell until we play the game.

A plus would be the fact that Modern Warfare III was originally an expansion. This is why progression from Multiplayer MWII as well as DLC carry over to Modern Warfare III. It’s hoped that stats and DLC will be carried over in the future. A rumour was also circulating that Modern Warfare III would have maps remastered from Modern Warfare 2 2009, . This rumour has since been confirmed as true.

A Call of Duty Insider, the Twitter fan site ModernWarzone claims there are some differences in the remastered map. Some buildings, in particular, will feature doors. It is likely that they are referring to new doors which will enable us access buildings previously out of reach.

ComicBook also for multiplayer have been announced. Lara Croft will be appearing in Call of Duty. You heard it right.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is scheduled to be released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on the 10th of November 2023.
