Gears Of War 6 to completely open, claims an Insider
The following Gears Of War game is reported to be making the bold decision to open-world play, as per leaks by sources within the game.
There’s not much available concerning Gears of War 6 and its rumored target to release the game in 2024/25 years which means we might get an early glimpse of the game at the end of the year or the next one.
Although they don’t have the exact details the insiders have now claimed it’s the first game of the series that embraces an open-world gaming experience. It’s quite a change from the previous games that had open-world environments and an elongated format.
This news was announced on a segment of the Xbox Podcast by Shpeshal Nick. Nick said that Gears Of War 6 is the first “full, almost open-world game.” Nick added that the game’s levels on the game’s previous installment, Gears Of War 5 are the first “step towards that.”
The official also stated that the development process for the game is a “little further along than some may think,” which means that we could see the game’s reveal in the near future, possibly in an Xbox event or even an exclusive Gears Of War showcase. However, The Game Awards could provide the perfect setting to showcase a teaser trailer as well as a launch date announcement.
The most difficult part of Gears Of War 6 is likely to be deciding how to move the plot in the future. Gears Of War 5 had two different endings based on the character chosen, which means that the sixth game of the series must keep one of those conclusions to keep the narrative moving forward.
