Starfield falls to below Fallout 76, becoming Bethesda’s game with the lowest rating

Despite setting new records for player performance the latest Bethesda RPG Starfieldhas turned into one of the games from Bethesda’s studio with the lowest rating on Steam it’s only a little under Fallout 76.

The game was released earlier in the month, and being described as ‘Fallout from space Starfield’ Starfieldis Bethesda’s most recent release in its RPG genre. Although it set a records for Bethesda Studios having 10 million gamers during the initial weeks, the game hasn’t been praised with the highest praise. According to the latest data it currently stands on a generally positive score on Steam and has a combined 90,000 player reviews. But, nearly 25,000 of them are negative, which is StarfieldBethesda’s the lowest-rated game to date.

It’s even more shocking when you consider that the Fallout serieshas been a bumpy ride when it first came out in the year 2018. Due to a number of problems when it was first released, the latest addition of the Fallout series had several patches added in order to get it to where it is now. In addition, with the Fallout seriesearning an 71.76 percent rating, according to Steam DB numbers and is just a bit above Starfieldwhich is currently at 71.38 percent.

There are numerous reasons Starfieldcould receive criticisms that are negative – endless loading screen, unnecessary drama about pronouns which resulted in an array of reviews being bombed and even frequent glitches for certain players prior to the time of launch. But, as the game is just beginning to get going as of launch, players are discovering ways to appreciate it. This includes the homage to the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Skyrimand sometimes even an explicit alien. The jury is still out on the extent to which Starfieldhas had to be unfairly evaluated or whether it merits its rating.

There are more developments for Starfield’s space RPG on the horizon and an Shattered Space DLC arriving sometime in 2024. Bethesda has not finished with Starfield. But it is to be determined if Starfield will remain one of the games that has received the lowest ratings from Bethesda Studios at this point.
