Cities: SKYLINES 2 PERFORMANCE HAS “NOT ACHIEVED THE BENCHMARK WE TARGETED,” PARADOX INTERACTIVE CONCLUSION
As Cities: Skylines 2’s launch of PC games is near, and publisher Paradox Interactive has announced the game’s Performance. The company is trying to tackle the growing concern of its fan base.
The Performance of Cities: Skylines 2 has become a significant topic for gamers after the game’s requirements for system performance were questioned prior to the time of launch. Sadly, even though its next-gen design does have a hand in needing more modern PC specifications, er issues appear to have caused the process of getting it to where it’s needed to be more challenging than we expected.
Cities: Skylines 2 Performance
“Cities: Skylines II is a next-gen title, and naturally, it demands certain hardware requirements,” is an official announcement published in the Paradox forums. “With all that being said, although our team has been working hard to provide the most enjoyable experience, we’ve not yet met the standards we set for ourselves.
” In light of this, we still think for the long-term of the project, releasing now is the best way forward. We are proud of the unique gameplay and features in Cities: Skylines II, and we genuinely believe that it offers a great experience that you will enjoy. ”
The company promised that it would “continually improve the game over the coming months” but said that it is designed “to control expectations about performance in the upcoming launch. ”
“Our ambition is for Cities: Skylines II to be enjoyed by as many players as possible, and we’re committed to ensuring it reaches its full potential. ”
A companion informational article mentions the possibility that problems with performance will arise depending on the specific hardware used by each user and the settings for graphics utilized.
Paradox hasn’t revealed how well (or poorly) the game is anticipated to run. Still, it has “determined a few graphic settings that have minimal impact on the player experience but increase performance significantly. ”
Information about them is expected “shortly,” which means it shouldn’t take long before we’re armed with the minimum instruments to help make the game more smooth if we encounter any problems.
