The Witcher 4 Unreal Engine 5 concept trailer is absolutely beautiful.
As Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has just officially hit store shelves, CD Projekt RED is turning its attention towards The Witcher 4 as its next installment.
“The Witcher 4,” as we commonly refer to it, may not actually be its true title. Indeed, CDPR previously announced that this instalment won’t directly follow The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; rather it will launch an all-new trilogy which could potentially link back with previous trilogy in some fashion – this could include new protagonist as it seems unlikely Geralt will lead proceedings this time around – although this remains only speculation for now; in the meantime one fan created an amazing mock-up in Unreal Engine 5 depicting what The Witcher 4 may look like; results can only come soon enough!
TeaserPlay, a prominent YouTube creator and enthusiast, created this video. Describing his project he said “in this video we recreate The Witcher 4 being developed by CD Projekt RED for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC; using all of Unreal Engine 5’s features such as Lumen, Nanite Ray Tracing and Metahuman to recreate its look”.
TeaserPlay’s video seems to feature Geralt as part of The Witcher 4, though we still don’t know who will lead it. Although this fan-made project doesn’t provide us with official updates from CDPR just yet, it can still be fun pondering its possibilities and wondering about their implications; hopefully CDPR developers won’t drag out their response time too long with regards to this game!
Fans are hoping CDPR takes its time, even decades if needed to produce its official product, writing on YouTube: “If fan-made can look that great then I have high hopes.”
