Steam offers many free games for exploration of independent game development studios. If that interests you, check out an open-world sci-fi RPG that makes space exploration exciting yet not daunting – perhaps an open world sci-fi RPG could make surviving life’s challenges enjoyable and less daunting?

Project Asteroids only came out last July, meaning its fan base has yet to fully form. But so far the reception of Project Asteroids has been “mostly positive”, earning seven out of 10 ratings on Steam.

At its heart, Starbound was designed for multiplayer play and can only truly be experienced that way. One reviewer advised against venturing alone into space – without assistance! One such reviewer wrote, “Well… This game is definitely not suitable for solo playing as simply flying, walking, mining and building without activities and goals can quickly become boring.” However, after spending several hours immersed within its universe I can attest that fighting and defending yourself among stars can actually be kind of exciting; truly mesmerising views await!

That is truly beautiful and displays promise for Project Asteroids’ future growth and direction. That promise and potential are at the forefront of most players’ minds because Project Asteroids remains in early access and therefore subject to change at any moment; while you could run into issues, glitches, bugs etc, playing free is likely for now; although DLC packs can be purchased for PS4.29.

As much as the proposed Valve update may make us nervous, this Steam game might just be one you want to keep secret in case there’s anything untoward lurking out there – whether that means regular aliens or something more explicit! Take that risk!
