PlayStation Plus adds one of the most-played games of 2022
The newest game on PlayStation Plus is one of this year’s top games which made it on numerous Game of the Year lists.
Teardown is available now to all PlayStation Plus subscribers on the premium and extra tiers. It does however mean that Essential customers will not be able to avail.
Created in collaboration with Tuxedo Labs, Teardown is a voxel-based graphics Sandbox game and an adventure which requires players to destroy the buildings, demolish and destroy them and other objects that are part of the world. Teardown is regularly praised by both players and critics with a score of 80 on Metacritic with an overall ‘Overwhelmingly Good’ review on Steam.
In the 2022 edition of one of the most popular game releases, Teardown manages to stand out in both its gameplay and sandbox aspects. It was first released on 21 April 2022 it was able to “plan the perfect heist using creative problem solving, brute force, and everything around you.” It’s one of the more recently released games, it’s definitely an absolute must-play when you’re a subscriber to the PlayStation Plus service.
In the official description of the game, ” Teardown features a fully destructible and truly interactive environment where player freedom and emergent gameplay are the driving mechanics. Tear down walls with explosives or vehicles to create shortcuts no one thought was possible. Stack objects, build structures, or use floating objects to your advantage. Take your time to create an efficient path through the level, plan the heist and get ready to execute it. Run, jump, drive, slingshot. Do whatever you need to collect targets, avoid robots or steal whatever your clients ask for. But make sure not to get caught!”
I had the pleasure of playing this earlier this year in the last year on Steam Deck and it blew me completely (appreciate the pun if you can). It’s a fantastic small game that can go quite a long way to let gamers create and demolish similar to Minecraft as well as online LEGO. In addition to the latest creative mode, it’s possible to really tap into the realm of your imagination.
