It’s hard to argue against the Halo series being an extremely adored and recognizable property of the field of video games and certainly on Xbox.

Although it wasn’t the first famous FPS in the world, when Halo Combat Evolved launched on the original Xbox at the beginning of 2001, it transformed the game forever for consoles. Most of the time, Halo: Combat Evolved was a bit similar to a smooth FPS playing on PC instead of playing with clunky controls that required using the D-pad in order to control the more flexible analogue stick.

In the years to follow it was evident that the series would be better and more expansive than the previous one, thanks to improved gaming, graphics, cinematics as well and multiplayer options. Some believe that it reached its highest point when the Halo 3 was made available on Xbox 360 in 2007. Xbox 360 in 2007. The likelihood is that the series hasn’t ever been the same since.

The latest installment from this series was 2021’s Halo Infinite which is, on the whole, an enjoyable game. It’s pretty good-looking, features excellent gameplay, and is an engaging tale. But for me, it’s lacking something which hasn’t been present in the past since Bungie ended the Halo franchise in the last game in the series Halo Reach in the year 2010. In addition, with the switch to free-to-play, the multiplayer in Halo Infinite also does not have the same excitement that I felt in Halo 3 all through the years.

I’m not saying that but if Halo Infinite was a game with no Halo brand, maybe the public would have viewed it differently. For a brand that is as popular as this any game that is less than perfect is considered an underwhelming experience. This being said, no matter if you loved Halo Infinite or didn’t, the majority of players of the franchise would think that this series is worthy of higher quality.

“What video game franchise in your opinion isn’t living up to its fullest potential?” was the question asked by Agent1230 on Reddit. “What video game franchise could be way bigger than it is?”

“Pains me to say it, but Halo,” responded Datix. “Halo. It was at its height with Xbox 360. It has since slipped away from the Xbox 360 and has slowly disappeared into the background,” exclaimed Eightbitspartan. “Halo and Titanfall (no, Apex Legends does not count),” stated insomnimax_99. ” Halo Infinite is a decent return to multiplayer. It’s also quite great after the extremely controversial campaign in Halo 5.,” explained dinofreak6301.

It’ll be fascinating to discover what the future will bring regarding Halo. Halo series, however, we can safely suggest that the current developer 343 Industries is likely to take it to the ground in the near future, especially in the next installment.

Halo Infinite is out now on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The multiplayer mode is completely accessible for play at no cost.
