GTA 6 meets Assassin’s Creed Japan in new PlayStation exclusive title
Sony and Team Ninja are joining forces once more, this time to bring us Rise of the Ronin: an action RPG which blends elements from Grand Theft Auto VI and Assassin’s Creed into one engaging experience.
Rise of the Ronin was first unveiled back in September 2018, and its impressive reception from fans since has only increased excitement surrounding this latest title from Team Ninja. Likened to titles and franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, and Dark Souls; its excitement among players can’t be denied!
Setting in war-ravaged 19th-century Japan, this combat-focused open world RPG follows an anonymous warrior as they forge their path in an oppressed realm ruled over for three centuries by Tokugawa Shogunate rule; now however, with Black Ships of the West attacking Japan from within and outward bounding their borders you find yourself responsible for shaping its fate – whether or not that be to your liking!
Nioh and NINJA GAIDEN creators now bring you Rise of the Ronin, an RPG where your choices matter and will determine its story arc. Select everything from who to romance or assassinate as well as any potential consequences; but always remain prepared to face consequences from them all! As well as multi-choice system gameplay and authentic 1863 Japan environments with engaging combat features – Rise of Ronin will deliver both an immersive yet approachable RPG experience!
Rise of the Ronin was no stranger to leaks during its development; leaks showed off multiple screenshots with details such as its skill/technique tree, difficulty options, numerous side-quests, performance/quality modes and romance options as well as the possibility that we may see release sometime before Q1 2024.
However, all rumoured features and an anticipated launch date has left fans more anxious for Team Ninja’s RPG than ever! Here’s hoping it lives up to all expectations!
