GTA VI will undoubtedly become one of the greatest videogame releases ever seen, if not even ever released!

Shortly after Rockstar Games unveiled the GTA VI trailer on YouTube, it quickly broke records once held by MrBeast and is currently up over 143 Million views!

As is evident, excitement for GTA VI’s release has reached unprecedented levels among PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers as we await its potentially 2025 launch date. Unfortunately for PC gamers though, no release window for Grand Theft Auto VI on PC has yet been provided by Rockstar Games; although we know Grand Theft Auto VI will arrive eventually; just when?

Rockstar Games alone may know when GTA VI for PC will release, but former developer Mike York from Rockstar Games provided some insight. On YouTube he explained why PC gamers often wait so long until new content from Rockstar, such as GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2.

“One reason a PC port takes so long after its original game release is because its developers want it to be flawless; they need time to iron out any bugs they missed while working on other elements,” noted York.

“PC ports often arrive later because developers prioritize what sells first. PlayStation was usually the main seller in years past…so developers would put all their energy and focus on making sure its port worked really well; when working on GTA V for instance, we focused mainly on pushing PS3 sales as far as possible,” explained Martinsen.

Mike York seems to have given an insightful understanding of Rockstar Games. PC ports from console can prove especially challenging; therefore, their studio will do everything possible to prevent an unsuccessful GTA VI launch.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
