God is Coming to Pokemon Shining Pearl & Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, Darkrai is Also Here
It isn’t easy to get excited about Mythical Pokemon being added Pokemon Bright Diamond & Shining Pearl when these characters are already available in Pokemon Legends. The Pokemon Company released two games in the same area, which was bound to cause some confusion. If you are still playing the Pearl remakes of the Diamond and Pearl, Darkrai or Arceus will be available in Switch games tonight.
It would be best to win the Pokemon League and obtain the National Pokedex to catch both Pokemon. This is unlocked by seeing all the Sinnoh dex Pokemon. This completes the mainline storey of Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Arceus will require a little more time investment, while Darkrai is simpler.
Arceus can only be found in Shining Pearl if you save Pokemon Legends Arceus on your Switch. You must have completed all of the main missions to save that file. You will need to have captured Arceus, and you must have gotten all the Hisui Pokedex items. After completing all of the above, Arceus will be a badge that you are proud to wear. It is a Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. After you have completed all the above, you will get the Azure Flute item for your character’s bedroom. This can be used at Spear Pillar to summon Arceus.
Darkrai is much easier as you only need to use the Mystery Gift to get the Member Card item. This will allow you to access Newmoon Island, where the legendary Pokemon are waiting. Tonight, March 15, at 6 PM Pacific, the 1.3 update, which brings Pokemon to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, is available for download.
The Pokemon series spent a lot of time in the Sinnoh area this past year. Now, they’re heading to a new region with Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. They will launch on the Switch later in the year.
