Embrace the Light

To begin this quest you’ll need to go to The Sanctuary on the Moon and enter the portal next to Eris. While in the room where Eris usually sits after completing a memory, you will see four statues. You will need to interact with each statue in a certain order for a chest to spawn. You can also access this area through Sorrows Harbor via the Scarlet Keep.

To successfully light all four at once, interact with the statues in the following order while facing the statues closest to the entrance: front right, back right, back left, front left. This is one of the many orders players have used to spawn the chest. Upon lighting the final statue, a chest will appear and reward you with The Journey.

Emergence

The next step will require you to head to the Anchor of Light to light six lecterns hidden in the area. The first lectern you’ll need to activate is next to where the light spawns. Pick up the light and place it on the lectern. Once you have done this, you will have 60 seconds to make it to the next one. After all six lecterns are light, you will get the message that says “You are ready to emerge from the dark.” Head to the objective and deposit the last light to move on to the next step.

Pathfinder

Once the lecterns are light, the next step will be to head to each Lost Sector on The Moon and solve the puzzles with rotating tiles.  The image above tells you what order each symbol should be entered.

K1 Communion: 1, 3 ,8, 8

K1 Revelation: 6, 4, 5, 5, 4, 8, 2, 5

K1 Logistics: 7, 1, 6, 5

K1 Crew: 9, 4, 5, 2, 3, 3, 2

Descent

This step requires entrance into the new Pit of Heresy dungeon. Make sure you have unlocked the Pit of Hersey dungeon, as this is where the real challenge begins. Once you have cleared the first encounter and collected your chest, reach the wall covered with doors. The door you are looking for is is on the left-hand side without a chain hanging over it. Climb up to the door and inside you will find a stone that reads “Reveals Path’s End.” Interact with it and your next step will be revealed.

Discovery

The next phase pits you up against Pariah Ogres. Head to the cliffs and once you see a ledge, jump on the ledge make your way to the plate. When this plate is activated, three others will spawn in. Pick up the charge and dunk it by the door that has braziers in the nearby tunnels. When all braziers are lit, you’ll be on the last step and only one enemy remains to be taken down.

Slay Volmar, the Tempted

Once you have defeated Volar, the Tempted, return to Eris Morn and claim your new exotic weapon. The Xenophage is one weapon you don’t want to be on the other side of and will be dominating the Crucible. Check out our Destiny 2 archives for even more guides for your Destiny needs.
