We have been waiting, and we have been watching. Santa Monica Studio finally gave us our first glimpse at God of War Ragnarok to thank us for our patience. The trailer is amazing – we are already in love.

It is amazing to be able to see the next chapter in Krato’s and Atreus’s stories. We are finally seeing the “BOY” become a man. Many questions were raised about Ragnarok’s date, but from the look of Atreus as a teenager, it seems like it will be around three to four years after the original. You can see them in action in the trailer below.

While there is tension between the father-son duo as they discuss avoiding and approaching Ragnarok’s event, combat shows them to be equally compatible. The Leviathan Axe remains on screen. However, The Blades of Chaos appear two. This is honestly *chefs love*.

The blog that PlayStation published at the time of reveal says: “Atreus is desperately curious. He wants to know himself better than anyone. He wants to know who he is. Atreus can’t let go of the mystery surrounding Loki and his role in the conflict. Atreus wants his family to be safe, but he doesn’t want him to sit by while the conflict consumes Nine Realms.

“Kratos still has the regrets of his past mistakes and wants to spare Atreus those bloody lessons. He wants his son safe, and Baldur’s confrontation has proven that he believes only tragedy can come from more entanglements with Aesir.

There are new enemies, characters, and environments to discover. We are eager to assist the pair in their fight against Ragnarok.
