Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland PC Launch Date – Here’s When The Free-to-Play Game Goes Live
UPDATE OCT 29: Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is now expected to launch sometime between 2022-2023.
Ubisoft, publisher and developer of The Division universe has revealed its expansion plans. These include a free to-play game called Heartland. Although details about the title are scarce, the PC release window was revealed.
The Division Heartland was developed by Red Storm Entertainment (studio that also worked on Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games), and could be released later in the year.
“Heartland” is a standalone title that does not require prior experience with the series, but will offer a completely new view of the universe in an entirely new setting,” said the publisher in a posting on their website.
“The game will be available on PC, consoles and the cloud in 2021-22. “
Ubisoft has broader plans for expanding the universe of Division Heartland.
A mobile game is also in development, and The Division 2, whose Warlords New York expansion was “the most active game’s history”, is due to get an update later in the year.
The previously announced Netflix movie, Transmedia Initiatives, is still being developed. It stars Jessica Chastain, Jake Gyllenhaal and is inspired by the events in the original title.
Aconyte will publish a novel that explores the effects of the Outbreak on different regions of the United States.
In 2021, Ubisoft’s Q2 financial earnings call revealed that The Division Heartland has moved its PC release window to the next financial years. This basically means that the game will come out sometime between 2022-2023.
