Fallout: New Vegas fan remake is looking absolutely stunning
Fallout: New Vegas was recently recreated using the Fallout 4 Creation Engine and this only serves to underline how desperately we require a full remake.
13 years have passed since Obsidian Entertainment abandoned Fallout New Vegas as the best Fallout game and never returned. Now 13 years on though, many players remain nostalgic for that version and call upon Obsidian to remake it for modern consoles – while while waiting one fan team has taken matters into their own hands by recreating Fallout New Vegas through Fallout 4.
Mods often feature key quests and locations found throughout New Vegas’ Mojave Wasteland, providing updated visuals as well as gameplay enhancements made possible through Fallout 4’s enhanced controls and features. This one stands out by including updated visuals for original game content while taking full advantage of Fallout 4’s enhanced controls and features for gameplay enhancement.
Recently, the team behind this mod showcased an intriguing video showing some old weapons imported into Fallout 4, much as they appeared in their games of origin.
Not much work needs to be done yet for this mod to become the New Vegas remake that fans have long desired, though. Fans aren’t the only ones looking forward to its return – Obsidian team members that worked on New Vegas have also expressed an interest in coming back as part of a remake effort. Additionally, Microsoft recently acquired Bethesda so there could be official plans in development at some point for Fallout: New Vegas 2 or perhaps an official remake could even enter development down the road!
As Fallout’s popularity rises, many fan projects for Fallout have evolved into whole new experiences rather than remakes of past titles. Not only has New Vegas received new content through mods but entirely new adventures are in development by fans like Fallout: Cascadia and Fallout Odyssey – two entirely unique adventures from fans themselves!
