Rumor has it that Ubisoft may soon unveil an HD remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and fans want Ubisoft to keep its signature sea shanties.

As Kotaku reported earlier this week, two anonymous sources recently began spreading reports regarding an Uncharted: Sea of Thieves remake rumor. According to these two anonymous sources, development for such an original game may still be in its “early stages”, with Ubisoft Singapore (currently working on Skull and Bones) likely involved with production of said remake game.

As of writing, Ubisoft had not officially confirmed their remake, yet fans remain cautiously excited by it all the same. On Reddit specifically, Assassin’s Creed fans hope that its wonderful original soundtrack composed by Brian Tyler won’t change dramatically between remakes.

“Ubisoft should keep the original Black Flag soundtrack,” wrote Reddit user ValiantKnight666 on Reddit. “Brian Tyler is so underrated (many won’t know who he is! ); his score (my favourite of the series!) still gets me humming; [Ubisoft can] always add time period-relevant songs.”

Others feel similarly: Mountain_Sir2307 wrote, “Much of the music from that game has become embedded into my memory so it wouldn’t have it any other way”, Ulysses3 concurred: Brian Tyler made 2012-2013 memorable for them while IchStrickeGerne has Billy Riley set as her ringtone!

Early this year, an official Black Flag sequel – Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple – was unofficially unveiled through WEBTOON series Edward Kenway: Coasts of Southeast Asian Seas. While not what anyone was anticipating as its follow up experience, Forgotten Temple remains pretty great nonetheless.
