Special Site Update Reveals The Aetherfont’s New Crystal Bear Boss
Final Fantasy XIV’s next Live Letter from the Producer will focus on all things Patch 6.4. Scheduled to launch sometime late May, more information has yet to be made public; Square Enix just updated their Special Site, providing us a glimpse of one boss and their associated gear!
This new image (below) depicts one of the bosses from Aetherfont dungeon. A previous image featured several polar bears roaming a tundra surrounding an anomalous energy crack; now however one bear has become corrupted by it and sprouted veins of blue and purple crystal from his or her body – likely as part of an attempt at mutation caused by mysterious energy source.
Image shows some of the gear likely to drop from this dungeon, most likely consisting of recolors of existing gear; such as Ktiseos War Axe for instance and Monk/White Mage/Machiinist weapons from same set for instance; armor is golden version of Deepshadow Set you could get for Tomestones in Shadowbringers but now cannot, while you can purchase Augmented Deepshadow Gear–dyeable versions–for Sacks of Nuts from either Xylle/Ilfroy/Ilfroy/Eulmore
Finally, there’s another image showing Nidhana with her peers on Mare Lamentorum, possibly where Warriors of Light may face off against Goblez in the new Trial? We will have to wait and see!
