Players in Red Dead Redemption 2 may uncover an unearthly new mystery five years later.
Five years on and Red Dead Redemption 2 players continue to find new secrets within its depths.
Rockstar Games is well-renowned for their meticulous approach to game creation, with Red Dead Redemption 2 perhaps being its crowning achievement when it comes to open world secrets and features; some critics even call the open world in RDR2 the greatest open world ever created!
One player was recently exploring the vast landscapes of Minecraft when they noticed something disturbing off in the distance; sharing this discovery via Reddit thread as soon as they returned home.
ghost_toe posted the thread reading, “On more than one occasion I have noticed an NPC watching from far off and then wave their hand before quickly leaving” along with video footage showing an unknown man sitting atop horse before slowly departing with wave of his hand.
Over and over again I’ve witnessed an NPC watching from a distance before suddenly waving their hand to depart, much to my shock and perplexity. No explanation as yet has been offered as to who or why this figure may be present – many players offer their theories as to who could possibly be behind these strange sightings.
“He was simply taking in the view, when suddenly you noticed you looking directly at him with binoculars; upon realizing who had them on him awkwardly waved back but eventually left due to being scared off by your presence and left as well”.
“Often it leads to confrontation; however it’s comforting knowing some are just friendly”
“I was quite taken aback that nobody has noticed that that person looks exactly like Micah while their horse could pass for Baylock.”
At first glance, this may appear to be just another NPC in Rockstar games like Red Dead Redemption; however, there could certainly be sinister or supernatural aspects involved with any mysterious strangers that appear within. Red Dead Redemption 1 saw many strange happenings such as encountering The Strange Man — many believe he represents either God/Death depending on which theorist you ask — along with numerous encounters between NPCs in Black who some believed represented both.
No matter who plays it, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to surprise and delight players years after its initial release. Unfortunately though, due to numerous pleas and petitions by fans to expand the story or world of RDR2, no single-player content expansion has taken place thus far.
Fans are already looking forward to Rockstar Games’ next major title, Grand Theft Auto VI; though rumours hint at an update for Red Dead Redemption that may also arrive shortly.
