Starfield PlayStation 5 sales predictions are truly phenomenal.

Starfield appears set to become an impressive success this year for Xbox. Microsoft predicted massive sales figures on PlayStation 5.

After Microsoft’s $7.5 billion takeover of ZeniMax Media – Bethesda’s parent company – we know Starfield will no longer come exclusively to PlayStation 5. However, at one time Starfield came close to becoming PS5-exclusive until Microsoft offered up big bucks in exchange for them.

Microsoft has certainly made its presence known through massive spending sprees over recent years, both through acquisition of ZeniMax Media and an attempt to acquire Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion.

Unfortunately for Microsoft, their attempted acquisition of Activision Blizzard has proven difficult and contentious. While approved by most global market regulators, such as CMA in UK and FTC in US.

Recently, Microsoft found itself embroiled in a court fight with the FTC regarding their attempts to stop Activision Blizzard deal, but recently won that round and now only has UK to contend with.

As part of its FTC court battle with Sony over exclusivity for Starfield PS5 games, much interesting information became public knowledge – from Sony’s original goal to release two variants – Pro and Slim – alongside plans to create multiple devices under this name.

Microsoft revealed in their court case their projected sales projections of Bethesda’s Starfield and an Indiana Jones game being developed by Wolfenstein studio MachineGames were they to release exclusively on PS5.

Microsoft predicted, through video game journalist Stephen Totilo’s tweet, that Indiana Jones and Starfield games on PlayStation 5 would have sold 10 Million units; any shortfall could then be offset with Xbox Game Pass subscriptions and Series X/S console sales.

At present, Indiana Jones does not yet have a gameplay trailer or release date, while Starfield will arrive on 6 September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S; preorder the Premium or Constellation Edition to bring that date forward to 1 September. In addition, Starfield will launch on Xbox Game Pass.
