Though Modern Warfare 2’s cycle still has several months remaining, player interest has already turned toward what awaits Call of Duty after this release cycle has concluded. Activision’s FPS series remains popular and numerous reports regarding its next entries have recently surfaced.
After the release of Season 4 Reloaded, leaks indicate two prominent rappers could join Season 5 as guest stars and that new weaponry might make an appearance in Season 5.
Recent speculation surrounding Modern Warfare 3 involves data miners finding clues pointing towards an event within Modern Warfare 2 that might host its successor’s unveiling.
HeyImAlaix has recently shared an intriguing data mining discovery that suggests an event for Call of Duty 2023 may take place within Al Mazrah map’s boundaries.
Though many players are clearly thrilled about what’s been discovered so far, one community member expressed displeasure with having to load into Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ mode in order to witness any possible Modern Warfare 3 reveal. They responded to HeyImAlaix’s tweet by writing, “(There’s) no way they make us all play DMZ for its release!”
Call of Duty has long made headlines for unveiling its next releases through in-game announcements – such as Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard being revealed within Warzone 1.
As data miners have unearthed files related to Call of Duty 2023’s reveal date, there’s every indication it could happen soon. Given previous announcements and release schedules for previous titles in August.
