The Bloody Baron quest from The Witcher 3 has long been considered one of gaming’s greatest.
CD Projekt Red’s fantasy RPG The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt remains popular despite having been released back in 2015. Fans still cannot get enough.
Inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski novels, The Witcher video game series remains immensely popular with gamers for many reasons – its protagonist Geralt of Rivia as well as supporting characters Yennefer von Vengerberg, Triss Merigold and Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon or Ciri), its captivating missions and expansive world being just a few reasons fans enjoy playing it so much!
Furthermore, many consider CDPR’s side-quests in The Witcher 3 just as engaging (if not more so than) the main story missions; one such side quest being “Bloody Baron”.
“Nilfgaard’s agent had discovered Ciri was staying with Baron Velen – Velen’s self-appointed ruler,” according to Wiki entry. This man was known for his violent temper and cruelty towards others – hence earning himself the name The Bloody Baron. Not easily intimidated, Geralt headed directly for Crow’s Perch where the Bloody Baron resided to inquire about Cirilla.”
Redditors of Reddit have taken to discussing The Witcher 3’s Bloody Baron quest; be warned, however; spoilers abound! LordBruno47 opened up discussion by noting his experience playing through this quest on five separate occasions and its impact each time: “Playing through it again now… still hits hard…”. Upon initiating discussion in this thread with these remarks by LordBruno47 and others like him on this topic on Reddit.
LordBruno47 raved, “This questline is simply amazing; even after many completions it remains rewarding and enjoyable,” while DadlyDad expressed similar thoughts: “I will always remember finding him dead from being struck from a horse in town square; while upsetting at first glance it showed how powerful this game’s stories truly can be! ”
“The Witcher 3 remains my all-time favourite RPG; that is all there is to it,” commented wanderer1999 about this game as an overall experience. With its brilliant writing and immersive atmosphere – from weather effects and music, to atmosphere and music all feeling real and grimy – said VigilantCMDR about their views regarding The Witcher 4. I hope The Witcher 4 brings even more.”
Henry Cavill appears to be feeling similarly; one player of The Witcher 3 admitted they never choose Triss as she is too fearful of Yennefer; however.
