Fans petition for remake of Dino Crisis
Remakes, remasters and reboots are everywhere as nostalgia rages through the industry.
You’ll recognize many of the top-rated titles from this year. There are Metroid Prime Remastered and Resident Evil 4.. Dead Space. I am sure that we will continue to see the favourites from our youth dominating. Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater, Silent Hill 2, and remakes of The Prince of Persia : The Sands of Time or Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic are all on the way. The Last of Us Part II, which is three years old, will be rereleased soon. Also, there have been rumours of a remake of Assassin’s creed black flag and Red Dead Redemption.
Dino Crisis is not being remake, and fans want to make it so. Dino Crisis, developed by Capcom was first released in 1999. Dino Crisis is set on dinosaur-ridden Ibis Island. Players must battle to survive as they discover the secrets of Ibis Island’s research facility.
Fans have created a Petition on Change.org asking Capcom for a remake of Dino Crisis. It has so far gathered 3,326 of the 5,000 signatures it was aiming for. One fan said, “Please Capcom,” while another wrote “We have waited too long.” A Dino Crisis re-make is needed. One comment stated, “A wonderful game that deserves to be redone.”
created a poll earlier this year among Capcom fans to ask which classic titles the studio should remake. Dino Crisis was the winner, followed by Resident Evil code: Veronica X. Capcom is a company that embraces remakes. I believe this will happen someday.
