PlayStation’s answer to Starfield reaches top spot on PS5 charts
Starfield looks set to become an immensely popular videogame this year; unfortunately for PS5 owners however, Sony will not be making available Starfield on their console.
Bethesda’s Starfield may not make its way onto PlayStation 5, due to being owned by Microsoft; but there’s another solution for gamers exclusively on Sony: Baldur’s Gate III is set for release this October.
Baldur’s Gate III may not fall under the sci-fi RPG category, but its massive fantasy RPG nature shares similarities. At 200 hours to finish its storyline and with no complete exclusive status on Sony consoles; gamers of PlayStation 5 can still take pleasure from this work while Xbox players take pleasure from Starfield.
Baldur’s Gate III has finally hit PC, receiving critical praise as high as 95 from critics and 9.2 from users on Metacritic. PlayStation 5 owners only have to wait one more month and this game has quickly become one of their best-selling preorders on PS5.
Benji-Sales, an expert on video game sales related issues, recently tweeted that Baldur’s Gate III currently sits behind EA Sports Madden 24 as one of the top two preordered titles on PlayStation5 at this moment in time in both US and UK PSN stores – it even outpaced EA Sports FC!
Fans are bound to be disappointed that Starfield won’t be coming out on PlayStation 5, though its possibility had almost become reality, but at least they can take comfort knowing Baldur’s Gate III provides an amazing alternative experience.
Please bear in mind that Baldur’s Gate III will eventually make its debut on Xbox Series S, however due to technical limitations the RPG is experiencing a substantial delay.
Baldur’s Gate III has recently hit PC, and will reach PlayStation 5 consoles on September 6, 2023 – coincidently the same release date of Starfield!
