Rumors are true – what many consider one of the greatest video games ever is getting an arcade port!

Recently it was believed that Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption would be remade entirely; however, now we know it will instead be handled by Double Eleven as a port and come bundled with Undead Nightmare as an expansion pack. This news should come as somewhat of a disappointment to players hoping for something groundbreaking from Red Dead Redemption.

Red Dead Redemption will soon arrive on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, being backwards compatible on PS5. Xbox Series X and One consoles already support Red Dead Redemption; unfortunately it was taken offline from PS4 last year due to licensing reasons.

Red Dead Redemption follows former outlaw John Marston across America and Mexico on a journey to track down remaining members of Van der Linde Gang and save his family, according to its press release.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s epic tale of honor and loyalty continues as John Marston searches for former friends Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella and Dutch van der Linde before their time as cowboys comes to an end.”

Red Dead Redemption on Nintendo Switch and PS4 also features Undead Nightmare, an iconic story expansion which adds new layers to Marston’s battle to survive an onslaught of zombies as he searches for relief – adding an unconventional supernatural edge to this Western genre experience!

Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare Bundle is scheduled for digital release on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch starting 17 August; physical copies will become available 13 October.
