Consider Red Dead Redemption 2’s open world and compare its size and scope with GTA VI, it becomes impossible not to feel overwhelmed.
GTA V’s Los Santos remains an expansive and beautiful virtual playground, but after nearly ten years many fans are starting to look ahead. While reports based on leaks indicate GTA VI will primarily take place here, many fans hope for something bigger which unifies all major locations into something greater.
Reddit users frequently create stunning concept maps combining Vice City, Los Santos and Liberty City into one massive world map – something Rockstar would likely never attempt with its current production schedules. Many are truly breathtaking works of art!
Take a look at this concept map below; can you imagine having to travel over this mammoth highway between Vice City and Liberty City by driving, flying or whatever means necessary? As others have noted, such a journey would give flying vehicles greater purpose.
GTA VI seems likely to arrive before March 2025 – just don’t set your expectations too high in regards to a grand map; most reports focus more on Vice City than anything else.
Rockstar can certainly expand GTA VI’s world post-launch through updates; in fact, we all anticipate its success enough for it to warrant post-release support.
