Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red is online and could be teasing a reveal of the game
One of the creators of Assassin’s creed, Codename Red, has posted an update to their LinkedIn profile with new images that are from the game. The fans hope that this means that a new reveal is coming soon.
After the launch of the Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Fans have been delighted to see the series reverting towards its original roots of tactical and stealth gameplay. This being said, Ubisoft has made it evident that RPG games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have remained being considered, as well as the following, and perhaps the last is the ambiguous Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red.
Although we know much about the game, we know it’s located in Feudal Japan and will feature an open world, and will draw inspiration from Japanese Shinobi-inspired fantasies, also known as Ninjas.
The game is scheduled to release in 2024. However, LinkedIn reports from one of the writers of the game suggest that the possibility of revealing gameplay or an exact release date may be revealed at some point in the year.
The image was posted by a Reddit user named Cygus_Lorman in the form of a blog post with the following title: “Ubisoft Senior Writer’s LinkedIn profile has Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red art.”
The image depicts what is believed to be the game’s principal persona, which is a currently unnamed character who is wielding the sword and a Japanese pagoda as a background.
Many are viewing the art as a signal to indicate that Ubisoft will be getting ready for a significant announcement, which could happen during December when the Game Awards roll around.
“Really eagerly anticipating this game! I’m aware that Reddit isn’t a fan ofA.C.C Games (or Ubi games in general) however, I’ve always been a fan of them due to the reasons they are … My enthusiasm for this one has increased as I’ll be able to experience Japan with a completely new game.”
Though it could be a bit optimistic to see an announcement of gameplay later in the year, it’s definitely not impossible. If not, we could, at the very least, see additional details regarding the story’s world, characters, and the characters.A.C..: Codename Red is scheduled to launch sometime this year.
