Although most gamers may be eagerly awaiting GTA 6’s official trailer, that doesn’t preclude us from looking towards another franchise: Mafia.

Mafia has become an undisputed classic since it first released back in 2001, winning fans’ hearts worldwide as an immersive, fun gangster experience. Every time there’s been talk of making another Peaky Blinders game, people tend to insist that Mafia playback should serve as the model; so when Mafia IV was announced for development we celebrated with great joy!

No one should be shocked that 2K Games’ Mafia IV title will use Unreal Engine 5, as this engine offers crisp graphics unparalleled by any other engine – especially following Unity’s controversy. Although all evidence points towards it appearing soon on consoles near us, no images exist to back that theory up yet – only an anonymous LinkedIn job posting which fans believe pertains to it!

As is often the case in such stories, however, the job listing has since been removed, likely as it had already been filled. Fans still taking this news as gospel have taken it as such with no knowledge that 2K had conducted layoffs last year – 2112flybynight said this game held special meaning to him: “I can’t wait for Mafia 2!” grew up playing it and will always hold an important spot in his heart.”

Another user was inspired by this idea and imagined adding something like the Nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor but with mob bosses instead. You take over a city while random crew(s) come in to attack and seize control over properties owned by you; giving players something new to keep doing once the campaign has concluded.”

“Tis time”, to quote one of Cyberpunk2077 Phantom Liberty’s great baboons; fandoms have grown tired of waiting. Many believe the DLC further proves the base game launched too soon for fans’ liking, something fans seem convinced by through Cyberpunk2077 Phantom Liberty DLC purchases.
