Fans demand that the original Star Wars Battlefront games should be remastered; their demand has not gone unheard.
Time for another Remaster Discussion…This time around fans want original Star Wars Battlefront titles remastered as soon as possible.
An understandable sentiment. More recent Battlefront titles simply do not match up to their predecessors and we all yearn for more. Debate began on Reddit when one user posted, “It is an outrage against humanity that Star Wars Battlefront hasn’t been remastered!” and many agreed.
“Truthfully, Battlefront 2 Remaster would make my day!” stated u/Hitman9329 who is in full agreement with this post and expressed similar sentiments via their post on reddit as is also highlighted by u/LSesay who believes “Battlefront 2 Remaster would definitely make an instant purchase decision for me!”
One user notes that both games are backwards compatible on Xbox Series and still available through Steam, and players continue to discuss rebooted versions like Battlefront II as more recent installments never reach the same peak of success due to microtransactions locking features behind paywalls. Many fans of Battlefront I had reservations with its release due to microtransaction features being locked behind paywalls – many felt Battlefront II represented yet another cash grab attempt based on fan criticism of microtransaction features in Battlefront I being locked behind paywalls!
No surprise then that many are also complaining EA botched the franchise with comments such as, “Battlefront needs a remake by an independent studio instead.” Unfortunately it can often be hard to tell where great games end and rose-tinted glasses begin; often we find ourselves loving games even more retrospectively; especially those tied with popular culture franchises such as Star Wars.
However, one could make the case that back then we didn’t have battle passes, microtransations fees or overly fluffy content that takes away from gameplay experience – an idea reinforced by one user: They don’t want us to realize games could still be that good yet.”
