Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic’s remake update shocked and thrilled fans, giving hope for its revival.
Since it first was announced back in 2021, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has experienced many delays and cancellations with fans left concerned by reports of cancellation and delay rumors. Now after an extended silence has come an unexpected update that fans cannot ignore!
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was first revealed at Sony’s PlayStation 5 Showcase back in September 2021 and fans eagerly anticipated its return ever since its initial launch by BioWare back in 2003. Unfortunately, two days ago fans received confirmation that this remake has indeed been cancelled with Sony ending all ties to the project and cancelling all further work on it.
However, Knights of the Old Republic appears to be back on after Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier revealed today that it’s still under development by Saber Interactive and two people there told him they are working on it, contradicting recent rumor that nobody was developing it anymore.” Schreier announced this via twitter post.
Saber Interactive took over Aspyr’s project last year, meaning BioWare won’t be leading development anymore and what exactly this will entail for the game is yet unknown; rather it is something we must cross as development goes forward.
Due to issues surrounding copyrighted music and subsequent removal of Knights of the Old Republic trailer in September and its later reinstatement due to legal disputes over licensing arrangements, everything seems amiss with this project – to such an extent that publisher Embracer did not acknowledge its release until this month!
An iconic Star Wars game recently received an unexpected update 17 years after its original launch.
