While being interviewed by The Movie Podcast for her appearance in Chicken Run 2, Bella was asked by them if there were plans to show The Last of Us Part 2.
Bella hesitated briefly before responding: “Certainly. Since I hadn’t played the original game prior to filming Season One, but had watched quite a bit of gameplay, maybe giving it a go would be fun?” Unfortunately for her though, fun may not be exactly how one would describe this experience!
Do not misunderstand; The Last of Us 2 is undeniably an incredible narrative and action masterpiece; however, its sheer brilliance does not come at the cost of much fun. Instead, its focus lies more strongly on life on edge in an increasingly hostile wasteland landscape than being enjoyable to play through.
Playing will give the actors an idea of the direction their story takes, particularly with Abby upending Joel and Ellie’s world and providing her an antagonist in Abby herself. Additionally, experiencing firsthand what can only be described as an intense second game gives Bella Ramsey plenty of material from which she will mine when the show returns and uses material found on its cutting room floor for future seasons.
Filming should go smoothly given Pedro Pascal’s immense fame; we look forward to witnessing its completion!
Date for The Last Of Us Season 2 remains unclear.
