The development team behind The Witcher 4, known by its code name Polaris, has witnessed an enormous boost to productivity. Fans eager for its release should feel excited!

CD Projekt Red announced in their recent earnings report that nearly 50% of their development team have now prioritized The Witcher 4 development work as of 31 October 2023. Nearly 330 developers were working on it at that point.

CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinsk stated that over 400 developers would be contributing to development by mid-2024 – providing production with an impressive boost and giving work a much more rapid pace of progress.

Cyberpunk 2077’s big Patch 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty DLC were met with incredible fanfare by gamers everywhere; receiving generally positive response, these updates drove waves of players back into Cyberpunk 2077 and attracted newcomers as a result – myself included! I finally took up playing it after waiting so long – it truly amazing now.

CD Projekt Red has recently seen some promising signs, with recent news about an original Witcher game remake due to be released soon making this period an optimistic time for both company and fans.

Who knows when we will receive another update, but knowing one phase has concluded and another is beginning is comforting. In the meantime, perhaps another playthrough of The Witcher 3 should occupy our minds?
