Since we finished Red Dead 2, many of us have held onto hopes for Red Dead Redemption 3. But with Rockstar Games preoccupied with GTA 6 instead of producing its followup sequel, questions regarding Red Dead 3’s existence remain.

Now, however, fans are receiving a sneak peek at Red Dead Redemption 3, creating much uncertainty among them about where it can lead. Arthur Morgan actor Roger Clark provided fans with this tease by replying to tweets asking him for any information regarding another game in development.

Clark was positive that RDR3 will one day come out. At what date or momentous event it would arrive is still unknown to her; Arthur may or may not play any further part as I believe his story has already been told.” One hand gives, but in an instant it all vanishes away again.

One fan responded with: “Oh Morgan… I miss you… But we miss him just as much, especially now that GTA 6’s Jason has convinced fans that RDR2 connects back through genetics (albeit, graphic only genetics).”

While our tears dry, it’s important to be realistic: We should consider whether Arthur’s absence really comes as a shock; his story seems to have reached an inevitable conclusion. Furthermore, fans seem uncertain as to the lengths Rockstar will go in expanding beyond Wild West-era games; perhaps that explains their misgivings over another game altogether; nonetheless if that becomes possible fans believe a woman leading should be considered “welcome change”.

No matter what happens, however, we will likely begin searching for nursing homes as the elderly gamers we once were will have passed on by the time GTA 7 and RDR3 launch.
