PlayStation Plus free game slammed after developers confirm that the game’s performance is poor and will not be fixed

One of the main advantages of signing up to services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass is the chance of participating in games that we would have otherwise not be able to play.

In the last month Sony has announced new games available in PlayStation Plus in December 2023 for the Essential level. These games include the LEGO 2K drive, Powerwash Simulator as well as the Sable. This is currently the subject of debate.

Created by the indie Studio Shedworks and released in the UK by Raw Fury, in Sable the players “Embark on a unique and unforgettable journey and guide Sablethrough her Gliding; a rite of passage that will take her across vast deserts and mesmerising landscapes, capped by the remains of spaceships and ancient wonders.”

Sablewas first released on the PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One at the end of September 2021. It was a long time for it to be released for PlayStation 5. Therefore, when Sablewas integrated into the PS Plus library in 2023, it ought to be a joyful moment for fans who had waited patiently. But why hasn’t this PS Plus release been well accepted? Based on reports from social media platforms, the PS5 version has been criticized for having difficulties with performance.

However the moment one Twitter user asked the artistic director at Sable, Gregorios Kythreotis if problems with performance could be addressed, his response came with bad news. ” Sable’s performance on PS5 is currently very bad. It ruins a great game that is running,” exclaimed Ricardo Pereira. “Any word on a performance patch, seeing as it’s now on PS+ and available to so many new players like myself?”

“Unfortunately no, we’re not very small and we’ve tried to improve our performance using what we had We worked for over one year following Xbox launch. However, in the end we’ll need to get started creating new products. We approached larger companies for help, but they were looking for huge sums of money.” said Kythreotis.

It’s not hard to imagine that many of the reactions to this news hasn’t been very favorable. “So what’s the reason I should be an owner of a PS5 owner, pay the money to buy any game from your studio at some point in the near future? It’s like telling the millions of gamers “Sorry, but you’re not worth our dev time to give you a decent playing experience.” A sad reflection of the current state of the gaming industry.” stated Despair2077.

“Bro, what!? The nice thing to your message is that it has prompted me to remove the game on my PS5. I’m not willing to suffer through this game with poor performance,” replied an annoyed SanGerardino. “Enjoy your PS+ money, dude!”

“Oh I guess that it’s safe to say that any “new things” you create will be a waste of time and that I’m able to ignore the issue. Self-owned is a great idea,” added ASaltyDog2358.

The conclusion of the day We don’t know the rules that must be adhered to behind closed doors. Although this may not be the ideal look for Shedworks but it’s important to treat people with respect regardless of how annoyed you may be.

Sableis released today on PC, PlayStation 5 and the latest Xbox consoles.
