Fallout 2 Unreal Engine 5 remake is simply breathtaking.
Since Christmas is the season for generosity and sharing good cheer, now seems the ideal time for us to highlight and highlight some of our favourite fan projects from 2017.
The Game Awards is just one of many award ceremonies celebrating studios and developers’ accomplishments, while fans do amazing work too. Be it through mods, playable demos, videos or anything else they have created – we all find great joy from their efforts. Today we want to highlight one Fallout fan whose stunning tribute to Fallout 2 created using Unreal Engine 5 provides us all a fresh view on its 1998 classic!
GK Animations created this stunning Fallout 2 tribute video using Unreal Engine 5. He successfully recreated atmospheric shots that look as though they came straight out of 2023 if Fallout 2 were ever to release then. GK Animations perfectly captured the feeling and essence of Fallout 2, so watch for yourself to appreciate his efforts!
GK Animations noted about this project: “This video is my tribute to Fallout 2, made using Unreal Engine 5. As an avid fan of both original Fallout games, and 3D filmmaking in general, I always wanted to see their world brought into 3D/film form; thus this personal project came about.” While not perfect yet – GK Animations will continue experimenting as they learn Unreal Engine 5 character animation techniques and more.”
