A game set in the Quiet Place Universe will be available next year
When I found out that a videogame based on 2018 horror film A Quiet Place was in development, it surprised me that the movie had not done much in this space. It’s not an adaptation. But it’s just that there are many horror movies that tie-in to games like Death by Daylight (although that’s going poorly for some people involved right now). So, I had a moment where I thought “oh, well, A Quietplace hasn’t really moved in this direction yet” but it is now because there’s a game set in the universe of Jim from The Office’s horror series.
We don’t know much about the project, except that it won’t be an adaptation of A Quiet Place Part II or A Quiet Place Part I. The website for the game states that the game will not be a direct adaptation. So you shouldn’t expect to see any members of the Abbott family in the game when it launches next spring. Saber Interactive is the publisher.

That’s all we know at the moment. We don’t know the genre of the game. Although the setting with all its alien monsters could make for an action game in theory, the series has not tended to favor that genre, preferring more…er…quiet drama over its horror elements. A choice-driven horror game, like Until Dawn, could be another possibility. Saber Interactive’s IGN statement says that the gameplay “captures all the compelling suspense and emotion for which the series has become famous,” which isn’t the kind of buzzwords you would use for an action game. We’ll soon learn more about the Quiet place videogame.
