Harry Potter fans already have one enormous wish: Hogwarts Legacy 2.
Fans of Hogwarts Legacy games have already begun discussing what they hope to see in an eventual sequel.
Hogwarts Legacy stands as the greatest Harry Potter videogame success to date, surpassing even its film source material in terms of revenue, selling over one billion units total and reaching that figure even after multiple delays to its Nintendo Switch version release later in 2017.
Exploring classic Harry Potter locations like Hogsmeade and its School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was both thrilling and captivating, featuring an exciting story as well as plenty of unique spells designed to keep combat interesting – something which PC mods have only expanded further on!
Given its immense success over the past months, fans are contemplating what could have been and the possibilities in what appears to be an imminent sequel that remains unknown to us all.
An intriguing Reddit thread entitled, “Here’s my Wishlist for Hogwarts Legacy 2,” began its discussion by suggesting players should have access to transfer saves from Hogwarts Legacy 1, similar to progressing through new years of Hogwarts studies while keeping all prior knowledge and abilities.
Their post pointed out that their choice will depend on whether a sequel is planned and, if one were, whether its story follows same character as sixth year student.
Other fans suggested their own improvements, like enhanced morality systems similar to Rockstar’s Bully game as well as additional areas to explore.
“I want consequences for choosing to take an unforgivable path or making unforgivable acts. For now it seems fine to just spam them — perhaps with dark wizards choosing either empire or nords as storyline choices? ”
“Ideally I envision 5-10 years later with MC as an auror and Sebastian as either her main villain due to either turning him in or telling him they cannot save his sister; possibly at either Ministry of Magic and London/Diagon Alley??”
Hogwarts Legacy continues to bring in millions, so sequels may already have been planned for.
As part of their dedication, modders have also been busy adding their own touches to the game; such as rideable dragons, online multiplayer modes, or replacing all wands with handguns.
