Far Cry 1 remake is almost assured following massive leak
After a massive leak of the source code, it seems that a fan remake of Far Cry1 will be developed.
Metro reported that in June, an Internet Archive download of the 2004 FPS engine CryEngine 1.34 appeared at random. was highlighted by Modder, Vinicius Medieiros on Twitter. Fans have discussed the possibility of ports, mods, etc. that can be created using this engine.
Tweeted at yrdenwatch: “Would it be cool to see [a] far Cry mod? Then, you can fully enjoy the game?” “Wicked. tweeted that someone should compile it for Vita or Switch. Or at least test if the game can be run on these platforms. replied to @peng0009: “I would love to see 3DS ports.”
It’s unclear how this happened, either. This is also not entirely clear as to how it happened. Much like the Sega leak that surfaced on the internet recently. It’s amazing how some of these most interesting things suddenly pop up years after their relevance.
A supposed anonymous insider claimed that Ubisoft is working on the next Far Cry game. The game, titled Far Cry Rise will take place in a tropical island in Yellow Sea called Kimsan that has been overthrown by North Korean rebels. The game will feature a female or male Korean idol fighting for survival and protecting their younger sibling.
There are many Far Cry Fans who don’t like the leaked information about Far Cry Rise. However, we haven’t received any official Ubisoft info to confirm that this game exists. So, there is nothing to worry about at the moment.
