Experienced gamers understand what it’s like to finish an absolutely great and life-altering videogame and feel lost afterward – not knowing where or when they should move next, feeling lost when moving onto something different is something which leaves us empty-headed and hollow inside.

At first, after finishing Xenoblade Chronicles for the first time it took two weeks before my mind could shift from its conclusion and I started moving onto something else. Even though Xenoblade Chronicles remains my favourite game ever (in my humble opinion!), its ending left an impactful mark that required time and reflection for resolution – yet many fans of The Witcher 3 may still have trouble moving past Geralt’s most recent adventure even now despite it all! That being said, I understand the feeling.

Reddit user mayhem_1979 lamented, “Witcher 3 has completely taken away from all other games.” She dived deeply into Cyberpunk, Kingdom Come, Elden Ring and all Assassin’s Creed titles — only returning back to Geralt after roughly seven-eight complete playthroughs of each.

Others seem to agree: It’s an absolute masterpiece and no other game can compare with how I felt the first time I experienced Witcher 3. Five full playthroughs won’t change that feeling…other games such as Fallout 4, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk Hogwarts [Legacy], are great but none matched it,” motiongfx515 stated, while Public-Friend 9 agreed: I always compare anything else I play to Witcher 3, yet still can’t find an equal.

Now there is no pressure for the next Witcher game!
