This morning, they revealed miniature versions of the PS5, and the PS5 Digital Version, along with other new features, worth knowing about.
Slim PS5 Specs
The most talked about aspect of the PS5 slim model is the diminution in overall size and weight. This is because both models available for the Slim PS5 are diminished in volume by nearly 30%. That’s quite important. The console’s weight is also reduced by by 24% and 18 percent for the standard PS5 and the Digital PS5, respectively, which is quite pleasing.
The console’s panels are getting a new look as well, having two panels per side instead of one large one that covers each side. This is because the latest version of PS5 comes with a separate panel that can be used to place the brand new Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive on the PS5 and can be purchased as an individual item at a later date.
One final point to be noted about the new generation of slim PS5s is as soon as they’re released, they’ll replace older versions of PS5. Once Sony has gone out of its previous model, the Slim version will become the default model of PS5 from now on.
