PlayStation Plus subscribers outraged with the latest Black Friday deal
The Black Friday sales are now available in the PlayStation Store, though users are horrified to discover that they aren’t eligible for PlayStation Plus discounts.
PlayStation PlayStation has cut prices on hundreds of top games including accessories, games, and other titles in its most recent sale. This includes a cut on the cost of PlayStation Plus memberships.
However, not all users can avail of the savings in the event that you’re already subscribed to a certain tier or tier of PlayStation Plus you don’t get the chance to upgrade for a discounted rate.
In the example above, if you’re currently enrolled in PlayStation Plus Extra, you are eligible for a reduction when you upgrade to PlayStation Plus Premium However, you cannot add another year of Extra to your subscription.
The fans are furious over the decision, particularly since the past allowed you to renew your memberships for an affordable cost, leading some to believe that it was an intelligent decision made by Sony in order to benefit from the current price hike.
Users have vented their displeasure via the Internet, and one of them was NomNomAwesome, saying that they’ve “always renewed” their PlayStation Plus subscription on Black Friday for “the past decade, as Sony always offers a good discount to new AND existing subscribers.”
Some were also disgusted there were some who said that you can avail a discounted rate on your existing subscription However, it’s only possible after you jump through several hoops PlayStation does not explain to you.
Many subscribers may even be considering that it could be the final step, and they are happy with the decision to end their subscriptions or even not renew their subscriptions until they see improvements.
One of them said “Guess I’ll let it run out for the first time in quite a while. This is a shame.”
Another said “Yeah. I’ve made a decision that based on the middle finger I received I will not take on the role of a substitute in the coming year.”
Then one of them said “This is the way it goes when a company begins to believe that they are dominating. This can be quite a snare to consumers.”
This PlayStation Black Friday sale will run until November 27th.
