This week Final Fantasy XIV released the most recent installment of its massive 10th anniversary celebrations that included messages by prominent characters that pay tribute to the decade that marked The Reality Reborn. The first message was from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi however, a fresh message has been posted every day beginning on the beginning of Monday.

The legendary Final Fantasy series artist Yoshitaka Amano appeared in an animation of him drawing an illustration of a Moogle. The illustrator has produced numerous pieces of artwork to be used in fans of the Final Fantasy franchise through the years, such as the FFXIV game along with drawing inspiration from concepts for the game.

On Wednesday, live and voice acting actor Ryunosuke Kamiki released a statement in which he expressed his admiration for the game: “I was introduced to the FFXIV seriesthrough one of my best friends mine. My life has drastically changed in the years since. In the course of playing I’ve stood alongside the other players, encountered difficulties and had fun with numerous people. When I got to spend time with them, the language barrier and national borders no longer mattered as I know deep in my being that we’re all united in one goal. Prior to my knowledge, FFXIVhad become an entirely different world to me.”

Kamiki was a regular figure within his role in the FFXIVcommunity as a participant in Japanese Fan Fests and also host as well as guest for the now-defunct Radio Mog Station. An actor for all of his life, Kamiki was regarded as a child prodigy. However, she was recently portrayed as the lead role of Godzilla Minus One.

Kamiki’s post was followed Thursday by another famous Final Fantasy artist, Akihiko Yoshida, who created an image to celebrate the milestone. Yoshida is most well-known for his work in the Tactics of Ogre, Nier: Automata and, Of course, Final Fantasy in which he is credited with creating several characters from Final Fantasy XII.

Recently, on Dec. 8 Ivalice creator Yasumi Matsuno was honored for his enthusiasm for the FFXIV. Ivalice has had a significant influence on the FFXIV game in many ways, starting with the Ivalice raids to be sure, however, it also influenced Viera, Bozja, the style of Garlean armor, and a lot more. In the clip Matsuno, he reveals his first time clearing Navel (Extreme) may have been one of the most unforgettable battles that he’s ever experienced within the game.

In the end the messages are truly a treat. It’s clear how Final Fantasy XIV has impacted not just those who play the game and the game’s developers but also people who create it, as well as the community within it. The series continues to show that every person has a an individual FXIVstory. Be sure to visit the official website for additional messages.
