Joseph Wilson – popularly known to YouTube subscribers as MittenSquad – left us this week at only 27 years of age.

Joseph Wilson began uploading videos related to Minecraft over 10 years ago before transitioning into Bethesda RPGs such as Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Wilson soon gained over 1.42 million subscribers with one video alone generating 9.2 million views – ‘Can You Beat Fallout 4 With Only Legendary Weapons’ being his most watched clip!

Joseph Wilson posted his last video upload on 14 July 2022 before taking an extended hiatus and informing subscribers about his health status, such as being diagnosed with pancreatitis; news of his passing sent shockwaves through the Fallout community.

Fans have created an admirable tribute by initiating a petition asking Bethesda to honour MittenSquad when the next installment of Fallout is released, whenever that might be. As of this writing, there have been 1,500 signatures added so far on Change.org petition – though I expect it will quickly increase moving forward.

“Hello all! As the creator of this petition, I must inform all campaigners about our next step. At present we have obtained 605 signatures – please continue the plan by creating respectable tweets tagging Todd Howard or Bethesda,” stated petition organiser Juan Nieves on 20 December 2023.

“To reach our target, link the petition in every tweet as evidence. Thanks for all your donations towards spreading awareness for Paul; your generosity has truly touched me – have a Merry Christmas!”

No matter if you don’t follow Joseph Wilson or Bethesda, please take just a few seconds and consider signing this petition – let’s increase those numbers together!
